Your baby weighs about 10 1/2 ounces now. He's also around 6 1/2 inches long from head to bottom and about 10 inches from head to heel- the length of a banana. He can also be compared to the overall size of a cantaloupe.
He's swallowing more these days, which is good practice for his digestive system. He's also producing meconium, a black, sticky by-product of digestion. This gooey substance will accumulate in his bowels, and you'll see it in his first soiled diaper.
I am feeling wonderful! I feel little Wyatt moving all the time! It is the most amazing feeling in the world. Each night we lay in bed for about 10 minutes just giggling over all his little jabs & kicks. Chris loves that he is able to feel him on a regular basis.
Chris has put together Wyatt's crib and dresser. He plans on doing the changing table next week. He said that he was just in awe as he was putting it together because it really hit him that he was crating a bed for his child. :o)
We have an appointment on Thursday so I will update with new pics of Wyatt then! Here are some of mommy of this week:
