So we had the 2nd ultrasound done today to check the part of the heart (atrium) that they were unable to see at the 20 week appointment. Wyatt was still belly down-spine up so they could not get a clear shot as to whether or not it is developed. So it looks like we will have to go see a specialist to have an extra close examination done. Good news is that it is not a "high-risk" situation, but on the flip side that means they are not going to rush to get us an appointment. We just have to wait and hear from them. Dr. Greenberg was still very optimistic and not overly concerned. He says the fact that Wyatt's heart beat is strong and all areas are well developed is a great sign. Not to mention the fact that he is obviously growing fine!
On a happy note Daddy was very glad that he got to see our little man since he missed the 20 week scan. Still 110% boy! He is such an active baby and always moving. Can't wait to meet this little miracle!
This blog first started off as a way to share our journey into parenthood. Thankfully it did not take long and we are now parents to a beautiful little boy. We will continue this blog as a way to share all of Wyatt's awesomeness and all the exciting things that go on in our lives. Enjoy!

22 Weeks
I have been meaning to post a new entry since we had our 20 week appointment 2 weeks ago, but have not found time to do so. Here is a recap of our 20 week appointment along with the newest pics of little Wyatt!
- My sister went with me to this appointment since we were actually on vacation at that time and Chris was working. It was so neat to have her there to see little Wyatt and share this experience with her.
- Wyatt is growing wonderfully. He is HUGE! I was basically told that he had a big head, LONG legs, and a fat belly! Dr. Gooden says if he keeps this up she isn't sure what we are going to do about my due date. He is measuring a week and half ahead.
- This was the longest ultrasound that we have had yet. They had to check literally every little part of him. It was amazing to have her explain the different parts. Everything looked great. She was not able to see one of the atriums of the heart, but she thinks it was because of how he was positioned. We are going back this Wednesday for another look to make sure it is developed properly. Everything else about the heart looks wonderful so we aren't worried yet. Will update you all on Wednesday.
- As you can see in the pics below, he is definitely 100% boy!!! :o)
- I have mentioned before how active Wyatt is. Well my little gymnast has flipped himself around since our last appointment and is now breech. Still plenty of time left to flip back though.

Check out his long finger! ET phone home!!!

I am still feeling wonderful. He moves all the time! I felt him have the hiccups for the first time this past week. It was amazing! I have felt it one other time since then. Daddy has put all of Wyatt's nursery furniture together and it looks great! I will post pictures soon. For now here are some of me at 22 weeks:
Check back on Wednesday for an update from our appointment!!!

20 weeks- Halfway there!!!!!
Are we seriously already half way through this pregancy? That is crazy!!! Here is the "professional" update on Wyatt this week:

Your baby weighs about 10 1/2 ounces now. He's also around 6 1/2 inches long from head to bottom and about 10 inches from head to heel- the length of a banana.
He can also be compared to the overall size of a cantaloupe.
He's swallowing more these days, which is good practice for his digestive system. He's also producing meconium, a black, sticky by-product of digestion. This gooey substance will accumulate in his bowels, and you'll see it in his first soiled diaper.
I am feeling wonderful! I feel little Wyatt moving all the time! It is the most amazing feeling in the world. Each night we lay in bed for about 10 minutes just giggling over all his little jabs & kicks. Chris loves that he is able to feel him on a regular basis.
Chris has put together Wyatt's crib and dresser. He plans on doing the changing table next week. He said that he was just in awe as he was putting it together because it really hit him that he was crating a bed for his child. :o)
We have an appointment on Thursday so I will update with new pics of Wyatt then! Here are some of mommy of this week:
